5 Reasons to Buy and NOT to Buy the new iPhone 7

iPhone 7

With lots of debate over the new iPhone 7, it is still hard to say whether its worth buying or not. Hundreds of reviews and analysis have filled the internet lately. Data from a research firm Morning Consult shows that only 10% of smartphone holders arevery likelyto purchase iPhone 7. Thus, here are two sets of reasons on why you should and should not buy it. Consider not only the availability of new exciting features but also the costeffectiveness of the device.

Reasons NOT to buy iPhone 7

The design is not new

While Apple has added 5 new sexy colors to the iPhone, it still does not feature a revolutionary design. In other words, there is nearly nothing new to feel and to see. The five new colors include rose gold, gold, silver, black, and jet black. Jet black is glossy and elegant though many critics say it might get scratches quite easily.

Battery life could be longer

Now, the eliminating of headphone jack gives the new iPhone 7 14% more space. As a result, the overall battery size became 1955mAh. According to Apple, the new iPhone is going to live 2 hours longer than the previous version. Yet, sad enough, the new iPhone does not support the quick charge function.

No dual sim card support

Well, again, Apple opted for only one sim card. Those who got two or more sim cards have to think twice before purchasing iPhone 7 or 7 Plus.

Jet Black variant appears to be more expensive

Jet black with its glossy finish is really appealing. But you have to buy a more expensive variant of it (128GB, 256GB) since it does not support 32GB storage.

No headphone jack

Apple says it tookcourageto make this step forward and to free more space in the new iPhone 7. However, this can be a disadvantage for many. If your iPhone’s battery needs charging and you want to make a call using the headset, you cannot do that.

Reasons to buy iPhone 7

A better processor

The new iPhone 7 has got brand new 64bit A10 Fusion chipset. It has a quadcore CPU with two energyeffective cores and two other cores for a prolonged battery life. The new A10 has got a new hexacore GPU thats considerably faster than the one on the previous iPhone.

Water Resistance

Yes, iPhone 7 IS water and dust resistant. And no, it is NOT salt water resistant. So, please, do not take underwater photos in the sea.  Sea salt can corrode the sealing that protects your iPhone.

The official IP67 rating for iPhone means that it can withstand water submersion (1 meter) for up to 30 minutes. However, do not test this on your iPhone; water damage will not let you benefit from your warranty. In other words, you will not get a replacement if water damage occurs to your iPhone 7.

Increased Basic Storage

The basic storage is now 32GB. Apple seems to have taken into account its userscomplaints about iPhones low storage issue. Now, you pay nearly the same sum to get double the storage.

Awesome Camera

The rear cameras in both iPhone 7 and 7 Plus are 12MP. Note that iPhone 7 plus has got two such camera modules. Overall, Apple has improved the cameras a lot. The back cameras have OIS (Optical Image Stabilization). The new wider F/1.8 aperture means that iPhone 7 can take up to 50% brighter pictures than before.

Cool Stereo Speakers

Gamers and movie lovers are going to adore this feature. Both iPhone 7 and 7 Plus now got stereo speakers. They are going to make the audio experience even more fabulous for iPhone users.

As a conclusion

Hopefully, after reading this article, you are no longer wondering whether to buy a new iPhone or not. Wed be glad to hear what you think about the new iPhone 7. Will you purchase it or not? Is it going to hurt your monthly budget or its still ok?
